OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its correct subtract 19 from both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

19-x=27 -x=27-19 -x=8 x=-8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply by negative 1 to make the variable positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what i was thinking they did! @BreBanana

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@LaceyLeanne , it's -(x) = -(-8) = +8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

19 + 8 = 27

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well in your check it was 19-x x=-8 so it is 19+8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I thought what happened to it...it made it a positive because it was subtracting a positive from a negative, Sorry just gaining a better understanding XD
