If N = {all real numbers} and subset S = {odd numbers greater than zero}, what is S′? A.) {negative numbers} B.) {all real numbers excluding odd numbers greater than zero} C.) {even numbers greater than zero} D.) {odd numbers less than zero}

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

S' means the opposite or not contained in S. So what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its either C or D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but im not sure which

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Remember the exact thing you are excluding here :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if im excluding the subset, then its C...right?

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

If you say C, then you only exclude even numbers greater than zero from S, when you want to exclude odd numbers greater than zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its B...nvm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thk you for helping me so much

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

No problem. :)
