How to get rid of fraction exponents? for example: x^(1/2)

something to the 1/2 power means the square root of that something. to the 1/3 power means the cube root.

Well that question was already up, I'm trying to do this problem: 2=t^1/4 I'm trying to find t but i don't know how to get of the 1/4

take the one fourth root of both

\[\sqrt[4]{2}\] = t

I got 5.7. Is that correct?
