Let f(x) = x + 8 and g(x) = x2 - 6x - 7. Find f(g(2)).

OpenStudy (shamil98):

(fg(2)) = (f o g)(2) Plug in 2 into the x values of g(x), then plug in the outcome into the equation for f(x).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve g(2) that answer becomes the input to f(x) use 2 in place of x in g(x) and solve let's say you get Z as an answer, plug in Z for x in f(x) and solve

told you how you tell me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you want to learn or just get the homework done?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

If he wants the answer, and not explanation please just leave the question alone @ehuman

OpenStudy (shamil98):

No point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll start you out g(x) = x2 - 6x - 7. g(2) =(2)2 - 6(2) - 7 You finish

good luck
