Why is the first shot of the Rev War know as "the shot 'round the world" Please help...a) News spread quickly, b) shot killed many colonists, c) shot was loud or d) shot killed many soldiers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I know that it was called that because it was the shot that started the Revolutionary war. It's not C and the shot itself didn't kill any soldiers or colonists so I guess it's A.

It is possible that the question is wanting to know what the shot led to possibly, but during the war both colonists and soldiers were killed so if that's what it was asking both B and D would be right, so i'm thinking it's most likely A.
