OpenStudy (anonymous):

first step is to get rid of the circle and write \[f\circ g(x)=f(g(x))\] this is always the first step, not matter what the functions are

OpenStudy (anonymous):

second step is to replace the general \(g(x)\) by the specific one you have in this case it would be \[f(g(x))=f(10-5x)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

third step is to replace the \(x\) in \(f(x)\) by whatever you see, so for this one \[f(\spadesuit)=7\spadesuit -7\] andso \[f(10-5x)=7(10-5x)-7\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last step is to clean up \(7(10-5x)-7\) with some algebra, distribute the \(7\), combine like terms, etc
