Solving a function

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

for (a-1)

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

that is, f(a-1)

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

Is this right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(a-1) means to find the value of the function when x = a-1; so just substitute a-1 for x and you are done!

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

so is the screenshot right?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

yup, but its not solving. its called evaluating a function at x = a-1

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

and u could simplify it a bit also.. :)

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

yes ,the screen shot is right @AmTran_Bus
