i know it is English, i have had it post for 20 min, and nobody answered it....so help please...... Write a sentence containing a gerund or gerund phrase. CAPITALIZE the gerund/phrase. Then below the sentence, tell how the gerund is used.

I was trying to be funny...maybe try: "STUDYING is the best way to prepare for a test." Studying can be a transitive verb ("I am studying"), or a gerund ("studying is hard"). When its used as a noun to describe the act of studying, it's a gerund. In the example above, it's the subject of the sentence.
