What are the central concerns of economics?

The central concerns are what to produce, how to produce, and for whom. Basically, it means what are the goods and services an economy must produce to cater to the needs of the society. Once that decision has been taken, the society must determine how the scarce resources available can be allocated to produce those goods and services. Finally, a society must ascertain to whom the goods and services must be provided.
