Consider the following problem: A tsunami is a giant wave (much bigger than usual) of ocean water that crashes over the land, sometimes killing thousands of people. Tsunamis are triggered by offshore earthquakes out in the middle of the ocean. The giant waves move quickly toward the shore just after the earthquake. There needs to be some way of warning and protecting people from the dangers of tsunamis.
