So I have recently gotten back into biting my nails after not doing for almost a year. Any suggestions on what I can do to not bite my nails?

Keep thinking about biting your nails. When a behavior, such as nail biting, becomes a habit, we tend to do it without really thinking about it. So if you think about biting your nails, it'll be easier for you to stop yourself from doing it out of mindless habit.
There are phsical deterrents, such as using bitter apple on the tips of your fingers. It gives off a foul bitter taste and will make you want to stop biting your nails thus breaking the habit as long as you re apply for the first week or so.
