Thank you guys :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Infinitely many... let me explain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a system of equations it is easiest to start in the basic format ax + by = c 5/2x -y = -2 5x -2y = -4 is the basic format by moving terms to the other side.

Next, we want to add the two equations together and try to cancel something out. That y looks like it can be canceled in eq. 2. So, multiply eq. 1 by -2: -5x + 2y = 4 5x -2y = -4 UHHH OHHHH!!!!!!!! *Red lights flashing*

So you are sure its infinitely many? Thank you so much, you are a lifesaver :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you add these two equations together you get 0=0 or infinitely many solutions

Thank you so muchh :)

No problem.
