Please help with this. "write the answer in standard form" 7x^2+1=5x^2 I thought I just combine the like terms and put them all on one side. Am I missing a step? Thanks!

That is a bit vague... maybe they want standard form of a parabola? Have you seen this? \[\Large f(x) = a(x-h)^2 + k\] Even then, your equation would be equal to zero anyway...
