Multiply them first. Then decide on the sign. figures part... do you know how many significant figures are in 0.05 and in 3.1?

You use the least amount of sig digs. 3.1 has two, and 0.05 has one (leading zeros don`t count)

^that. You can't add sign. figs... you just use the number with the least, which is 1 sig. fig. in this case.
