can someone explain how to find the area of stuff?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Area of stuff = length of said stuff times width of said stuff.

haha XD well my questions are like: ' what is the area of this rectangle?' and its 14 by 10 inches so ive been adding 10+10+14+14...is that right?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

|dw:1381534506490:dw|

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

but 10+10+14+14 will give you the PERIMETER of the rectangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so just 14+10?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Look at the picture. See what is written on it.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

What i wrote in the first post was accurate: Area of stuff = length of said stuff TIMES width of said stuff.
