Find the surface area of the figure below.
Find the area of all 6 faces and add them up.
formula is = A= 2(wh + lw + lh ) . right ?
Yes. And what I suggested is all you're doing in that formula. wh + lw + lh is adding up the areas of 3 faces. Multiplying it by 2 includes the other three.
3*2=6 ... 8*3=24 ... 8*2=16 6 + 24 + 16 = 46*2 = 92 !? (:
Seems right to me!
Surface area is the area of the lateral faces and the two bases (also known as faces). SA of a rectangular solid is the perimeter of a base times the height of the solid PLUS the sum of the areas of the two rectangular bases. SA = p*h + 2+B where B is the area of a rectangular base. SA = ( 8 + 8 + 3 + 3) * 2 + 2 * ( 8 * 3) = ? @dopegyal_
22 + 4 + 24 = 50 ?? No. You did not double the 22 nor did you double the 24. >> 46*2 = 92 !? (: --> your first answer is correct. 92 is what I got, also. @dopegyal_
