SInce \(A\) is in Q3, then \(\sin A=- 5/\sqrt{41}\) and \(\cos A=-4/\sqrt{41}\). Therefore \(\sin(2A)=2\sin A\cos A=40/41\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u clarify that?

OpenStudy (watchmath):

if you know the value of tan how would you compute the sin?
