OpenStudy (anonymous):

Two dice, one red and one white are rolled. What is the probability that the white die turns up a smaller number than the red die

OpenStudy (atlas):

Take 6 cases that the red dice can have............. For each case find the probability of the white dice turning a smaller number.

OpenStudy (atlas):

You can also do it other way............there are 36 ways in which the event can happen................6 of them they both turn equal numbers...........>>>Rest 30 times either red>white or white>red that makes it 15 for each......... so the answer is 15/36 = 5/12
