OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the period of y=(tanx)/2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just plain tangent x has a period of pi. It takes x going from 0 to 2pi in order for x/2 to go from 0 to pi. Therefore the period of tan (x/2) is 2pi.

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

mmm... the period of tan (x/2) is 2pi... but the question asks for.. the period of y = [tan (x) ] /2..... y= (1/2) tan x has period of π and you would graph it at -π/2 (asymptote) -π/4 (value -1/2) , 0 (value 0), π/4 (value 1/2) , π/2 (asymptote)
