Three friends each own land in the same town. Miguel owns 7 1/2 acres. Jorge and Juanita own the same number of acres. If the friends own 20 1/3 acres altogether, how many acres do Jorge and Juanita own?

It's simple. Subtract Miguel's land holding from the total land owned. That is, find\[20\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }-7\frac{1}{2}.\] If Jorge and Juanita each own half of the remaining land, then all you need to do is find half of that, and you have your answer.
