Can you explain plz :)

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

you mean define them ?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

perjury means getting caught for lying under oath subpoena is an order to appear in court contempt is something a judge can charge you with for disobeying a court order or being disrespectful to the courts authority. immunity is when your exempt from penalties, payments, or legal requirements. I don't know how to explain it.....unless you want examples ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

examples would be great!

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

1. Lets say you were doing something illegal and you saw something you weren't supposed to see, such as a murder. It is more important to get your story on the murder especially if you saw who did it. They will offer you immunity if you testify against the murderer. (weird, but I couldn't think of anything else off the top of my head.) 2. If you refuse to testify, you are disobeying the court order and you can be charged with contempt which usually involves you getting some jail time. 3. Legislative oversight was meant for the legislative branch to make sure the executive branch carries out the laws Congress passes. (I don't really know what else to say on this one)
