OpenStudy (megannicole51):

An= ((n^3-2n^2+n+1)/(n^4-2)) what is Bn? @inkyvoyd or @watchmath

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

@satellite73 's eye ball test would tell you to use n^3/n^4

OpenStudy (megannicole51):

so i have to pick which one to use as Bn?

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

no, I mean n^3/n^4=1/n

OpenStudy (megannicole51):

and thats just Bn? i felt like that was too simple lol

OpenStudy (megannicole51):

and the sum of An then diverges correct?

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

yup

OpenStudy (megannicole51):

beautiful:) thank you!

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

Generally speaking, if it is a rational series (polynomial divided by polynomial), you'll want to take the largest degree term of the numerator and denom of the rational expression in order to know what values to pick

OpenStudy (megannicole51):

okay awesome thanks for the pointer!
