I am making a movie but I can't come up with how the characters should look like, I am looking for something original and different. Any suggestions?

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Well it depends, what kind of movie are you making?

OpenStudy (ლ(´ڡ`ლ)):

yup, I'm here to help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright! This is awesome! Ok, what is the idea of your movie? Is it action, romance, Humor, adventure or what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You sort of wanna base your characters of the feel of the movie

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

IT IS MORE ABOUT your preference and promoting that style to readers and that's how you start signature characters

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

@Littlemsadventuretime the question is more related to how they would appear physically

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree with that. Try not to make characters similar to other shows, Think about what hair they will have, what style of clothing they will have, body types, eye color, etc. From then on out, you will have a basic idea on how to get started

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The movie is mainly about magic and the elements any has a lot of action and adventure

OpenStudy (dngr00l):

A magician is one of the classic archetypes, so there is plenty of examples out there as you know. I would suggest research the old and new styles, compare and contrast to your ideas of how your characters should look like and see what happens. Basically, experiment! If you need more assistance feel free to message me, as I have nearly four years of experience in this area.

OpenStudy (ლ(´ڡ`ლ)):

honestly I'd find something to compare with, don't steal ideas. I'd say World of Warcraft or something along those lines because its very informative, thus allowing you to maybe pick up some info or get a general idea on how you might want something to be.

Thanks!

Martin Scorsese's Departed... That's all I'm saying.
