How can graphing be applied to solving systems of non-linear equations? How can constraints be used to model a real-world situation?

OpenStudy (john_es):

When you have non linear equtions and plot them, you can obtain the points where those functions intersect, so they are possible solutions. Constraints can be used to model, for example, variables that cannot be zero. For example, the usual conditions \[x\geq0;y\geq0\] for variables that represent quantities that cannot be less than zero (a physical example: absolute temperature in Kelvin)

thank you so much :)
