what aspects of Confucianism and Daoism do you think contributed to their long lasting influence?

OpenStudy (redohawk):
Confucianism was a philosophy of duty and of order. Daoism is much more spiritual and inner focussed. I believe that all cultures have 'binders' which ensure continuity around central themes. Both these movements are of interest to the West and add to our understanding of the dynamics of society and Civilisation.
