OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I am feeling stupid right now....my brain is not working....help

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I should know this but the answer I am getting is not an answer choice.. here we go.... a = b - 4/c for b The answer I am getting is : a + 4/c = b That is not an answer choice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the equation is a = b - 4/c and they want you to solve for b?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They are crazy and you're right.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

the answer choices are : (1) B = A - 4/C (2) B = A/C + 4 (3) B = AC + 4 (4) B = C - 4/A

OpenStudy (jack1):

3

OpenStudy (jack1):

a = (b - 4)/c ? ac + 4 = b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ftw

OpenStudy (jack1):

is that... is that ur original eqn tho?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

yes....original equation is : A = B - 4/C.....solving for B I got A + 4/C = B How are you getting AC + 4 = B ?? If you multiply the equation by C dont you get AC + 4 = BC ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'd guess it's either grouping misprint or sign misprint.... or everyone is having a stroke at the same time.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

lol..

OpenStudy (jack1):

def the stroke

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

@ash2326 ...can you take a peek at this

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

@jigglypuff314 ...a little help here please

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

I'm getting what you're getting... maybe B= (AC+4)/C as another version, but I haven't got a clue otherwise...

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

oh wait! I see!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the original meant to group it as a = (b-4)/c then you can get Jack's answer... or if it meant to put it as a = b + (4/c) an just fumbled the sign. dunno whatsoever....

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

yeah, if the question was a = (b-4)/c then yeah

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I might just put Jacks answer.....but there is no parenthesis in the problem. I am just gonna do that. Thank you all for your help
