Robert buys 3 pounds of bananas at $0.50 per pound and 3 pounds of apples at $1.00 per pound. Which of the following expressions represents the total cost of the fruit he bought (in dollars)? A. 6(1.50) B. 3(0.50 + 1.00) C. (3.50 + 3.00) D. 3(0.50 + 3.00)

I say it is B

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Well what I did was, I did it on my own. So 3 * .50 is $1.50 and then 3 pounds time 1 dollar per pound, that's 3 dollars. So add that, that's $4.50. Now I have to see which of those will get me the same answer.

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

You're correct:D ( I did it wrong the first time ._.) it is B c:
