What is interval notation?

if you have an interval, say all numbers between 1 and 5, you can write \[1<x<5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as an interval, you would write it as \((1,5)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the inequality \(-1\leq x<4\) would look like \([-1,4)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the inequality \(-1\leq x\leq 1\) would look like \([-1,1]\) and the inequality \(x>0\) would be \((0,\infty)\)
