Verify the identity. Help me please!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what identity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ \cos x }{ \sin x \cot x } = 1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cot x = cos x/sinx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the denominator is just cos x So you have cos x/cos x = 1 1= 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In proving identities for trig, always try to put everything in terms of sin x and cos x...here we were able to change cot x = cos x /sin x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be to much trouble if you could work it out for me, so I could understand it better? Thanks.
