1. g(x) = (x + 2 )^2 - 4
2. g(x) = -4(x-1)^2
3. g(x) = 1/2x^2+1

Just look at where all the vertices and y intercepts go

1) vertex at (-2,-4) instead of (0,0) -everything is shifted to the left 2 and down 4
2) everything is shifted right 1, flipped upside down because of the negative, and squished in because the curves are sharper cause of the 4
3) everything is moved up 1 and widened
