In what ways were the colonial governments different from the British governments? I'll list the info I already have.

The British governments were a monarchy ruled by a king and queen. The Colonial governments were a democracy ruled by the people. The Colonial governments were ruled by each colony separately.

Colonists rights were defined in formal documents and the British rights were defined by tradition and laws
