A salt is heated, evolves water, and turns from green to white. The white salt is dissolved in water and produces a green solution. Is the salt a hydrate and what are your reasons for this conclusion?

the salt in its dehydrated state is colorless and in hydrated state it is colored:) the salt may Ni bcoz this metal salt in hydrated state gives green color :)
