ORION Part 1 below

OpenStudy (austinl):

Bobby was searching his room for batteries that go to his video camera, he knew he would need quite a few, he had a big night ahead. He finally found a box and ran out of his room and went leaping down the stairs, grabbing a coat as he went. He grabbed the handle to the front door when his dad walked up. "Where are you going to in such a hurry?" he asked. "Oh my friends and I are just going out for the night" Bobby responded nervously. His dad gave him a skeptical look and said, "Well, have fun I guess..." as he walked to his chair and sat down. He reached down and grabbed the day's newspaper and began to read. Bobby looked over and saw the front page, 'Orion Mental Health Institute Reopened'. Bobby chuckled at this as he went out the front door. He said over his shoulder, "Don't wait up for me, might be a little late", and then closed the door and walked over to his car. He climbed in and tossed his camera into the passenger seat. He put the keys up to the ignition but accidentally dropped them onto the floor. He reached down and when he got back up he looked into his rear-view mirror and saw a shadowy figure in his breezeway. He whipped his head around, and when he looked back, the figure was gone. He started his car and said to himself, "It is too early in the night for that crap..." and drove off. A little while later, he pulled into the school's parking lot. He was happy to see that no-one had backed out, everyone was there. He got out of his car and greeted everyone. "What's up guys?" he asked, "y'all made it!" The other three looked at him and Richard asked, "Bobby, man, are you ready for this?!" Connor and Brandon looked at him with big grins on their faces. "You had better friggin' believe it!" shouted Bobby, "To quote an epic man, this is going to be 'Legen...wait-for-it....dary'!" Connor laughed and asked, "Hey, by the way, did you remember the camera?" Bobby waved the camera and added, "Even brought some extra batteries too". Brandon looked around, then at his car and asked, "Soooo, who's car are we going to take? Mine only seats two..." "We can take mine," Richard chimed in, "I have a van, tons of room!" They all walked over and climbed up into the van. Bobby flipped open the screen to his camera and started filming. "We see the pedo, in his natural habitat, van and all." he said while zooming in on Richard. Richard scowled at him and said, "bro, not funny. And please be serious tonight, this is some serious crap." Bobby zoomed out and scanned the rest of the van and then pointed it out of the windshield and said, "Fine, 'The beginning of a journey!'.... better?" Richard was driving down the highway at this point with the radio on, turned to a news station. The host was rambling on about the debt crisis. Bobby turns to Connor and asks, "What do you think about this debt crisis?" "Well good sah," Connor replied with an exaggerated English accent, "It is a load of poppywingspan and rubbish as well!" Bobby just shakes his head and turns to watch the road again. They were pulling off of the main highway onto a gravel road now. "Almost there," said Richard, then he suddenly got quiet. "Wait, what is this?" he asked as he turned up the radio. "Orion Mental Health Institute was recently reopened under new management. The new owners, Regency Research Group, have moved in new staff Some of whom have been described as looking like soldiers. There has been an increase in security....", the radio host was drowned out as Brandon started to freak out. "Oh my god guys, are we seriously going to go through with this?!?!" he asked. "Yes! Now shut he hell up," said Bobby, "I'm trying to listen!" "There have been some reports of some odd experimentation..." the host was cut off again but this time by radio static. "What the...," said Bobby as he started to flip through the channels. "There is no radio at all guys, every station is static." Suddenly the van's headlights cut out as the engine dies. "Oh crap," said Richard as he started trying to get the van to start back up. "Not the best time for this..." he said starting to panic a little. As he got the van started back up, a dark shadow darted out of the beam of the headlights. "Wha-wh-what was that?" stammered Brandon. "Probably just a deer," replied Bobby, "don't be such a sissy." "Hey guys," Richard interrupted, "we're here...." as he pulled up to a massive stone wall. The headlights pointed at a sign, 'Orion Mental Health: Making you feel better since 1904' \(\color{red}{\text{This is the end of Part 1}}\)
