OpenStudy (usarmy3947):

Um yes i need help with open study?

OpenStudy (usarmy3947):

um why doesn't open study have like a box to search for questions that are already asked?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes google

OpenStudy (ლ(´ڡ`ლ)):

^ genius Idea.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

google the question and it will open closed questions in open study

OpenStudy (aravindg):

No feature atm. You can still use google custom search for that.

OpenStudy (usarmy3947):

no but some times it comes up like yahoo answers, wiki answers

OpenStudy (ლ(´ڡ`ლ)):

this would actually be a great feature to see in the future. I know of several questions people have, and I redirect them to old closed ones all the time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then google search "insert question here" Open study

OpenStudy (aravindg):

I remember seeing this feature in the Chrome add-on that dumbsearch made for Openstudy.

OpenStudy (usarmy3947):

ya me 2 like in yahoo answers when im going to ask a question it says this question might have benn answered already would you like to see similar questions like this one

OpenStudy (usarmy3947):

lol ya me 2 but its not with open study its with google

OpenStudy (usarmy3947):

but i would like for the future a official open study search

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

Download the chrome extension to have fully accessible search function.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

On Google, you can add site:doamin.nam to search a particular domain. Like this search: https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aopenstudy.com+site+search which shows how many times people have asked for a site search. hehehe.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

@UsArmy3947, is it appropriate to ask for a certain feature to be created in OS?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

@SolomonZelman Yes. That is what the feedback forum is for. It lets them know what the community is concerned about. The problem is modifying the code base to support certain things. Their primary focus has been on stability, speed, and scalability. New features are added less often. The older users have talked about how many new features have been added over time, but right now development has shifted to making it work better rather than other things.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

@e.mccormick, thank you for explaining!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should contact OpenStudy for that or if you are looking in a minor subject, try looking through some of the closed questions

thomaster (thomaster):

Yea 1 trick, like e.mccormick said: just add \(\large\sf\underline{\ site:openstudy.com\ }\) after your search query and google will only show results from openstudy.
