simplify x(x+2)(x+5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This lesson is about polynomials. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to use distributive property and also I'm not sure how to do it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distribute the first equation that will give you (x^2 +2x) then you can solve either foilr method or box method.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And then I do x(x+5) ? @Gerardie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't respond because I thought you were typing...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No the factor only applies to 1 esquation, the other you leave as is, then you foil or box method with (x^2+2x) and (x+5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I multiply (x^2+2x) and (x+5)? @Gerardie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, I got x^3 +5X^2+2X^2+10X WHICH EQUALS X^3+7X^2+10X when simplified.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah man im proud of you (:
