I'm currently brainstorming ideas for my allegory assignment that is supposed to "comment on contemporary society." I want to write about how much the government controls the general public, and most people don't think twice. So my idea for characters is having the Father (government) control what his two or three children (citizens) learn and do. Do you think this is a good idea? Any suggestions? Thanks!
I think that is a very creative idea.
Excellent idea, crazycat! I thought you could use a teacher as the government and have the pupils as citizens.
Thanks! I think the teacher idea is great, that should help me write 3 pages a lot easier than the family thing I was going to try (:
I'm glad I could help. You could make your argument more interesting by vividly using classroom symbolism, characters, terminology and imagery. I hope it goes well- good luck!
