What are the factors of 3x2 + 10x + 3? (3x − 1)(x − 3) (3x − 3)(x − 1) (3x + 1)(x + 3) (3x + 3)(x + 1)
@cuitiefromthesouth2
can you please explain it.
Try factoring out the equation... Both bx and c are positive.
Therefore we know that the factors will be both be positive.
You can therefore eliminate option A and B
From there, which one of those would result in your original equation? 3x^2 + 10x + 3
(3x +1)(x+3) Use foil, 3x times x = 3x times 3 = 1 times x = 1 times 3 = Find the products and them combine the like terms.
(3x+1) (x+3)
hold on I'm going to explain it
I've already explained it.
...
Oh okay, sorry
@christianfilms11 do you understand?
not really lol
Kay, what part you don't get?
can you try to explain how to do FOIL with C?
@shamil98 how did you get 10 using foil? can you please explain? I'm stuck.
(3x + 1)(x + 3) 3x^2 (3x times x) 3x times 3 = 9x 1(x) = x 1(3) = 3 add those together 3x^2 + 9x + x + 3 3x^2 + 10x + 3
3x^2 +10x+3...it would be Multiply 3x by x, then multiply 1 by x and 1 by 3, then combine like terms...being 9x and x. therfore you get 3x^2+10x+3
@christianfilms11 does that help?
