9x-y=5 how would u find the x and y intercept.show work. please help im stuck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find the x intercept, you plug in 0 for y and solve to find the y intercept, you plug in 0 for x and solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so what would y be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well first you should simplify the equation, subtract 9x from both sides and divide by -1, which makes it y=9x-5 the x intecept would be 0 = 9x -5 so you have to add 5 to both sides and divide by 9 the y intercept would be y = 9(0) -5 so y would be -5 the actual points are (0,-5) for y and ( 5/9, 0)

thank u feather
