Which equation defines the graph of y = x^2 after it is shifted vertically 3 units up and horizontally 2 units right? Can u please explain it to me?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

To shift up 3 is easy... just add 3: y = x^2 + 3 To shift right 2, you have to replace x with x-2 (-2 shifts it right 2), like so: y = (x-2)^2 + 3
