An object is thrown with an initial velocity of 3 m/s. What is its acceleration at its maximum height?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What happens to an object that reaches its maximum height? It falls back down right? That means it would have to change directions. If it were to change directions, what would it have to do first?

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

An object in free fall is ALWAYS accelerating at g, even when it's turning around.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you sure about that Noel?

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

I'm a retired physics teacher. It's a trick question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh. True. Very true. Indeed =)
