OpenStudy (compassionate):

Hello, Ambassadors, I would like to remind you all to keep up the goodwork. We've really done a lot this year. 2013 is almost over! I'm excited for the breaks - but I'm also sad to lose enough ethereal year. Remember, while it's always great to have fun on-and-off the community interactions, you must always stay active and he evermore insightful and helpful! So - Ambies, what are your plans for the Holidays? How will you spend Halloween?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

I, personally, am planning on spending my Halloween with friends. Might go to a few parties or events beforehand. Ever heard of cosplaying? I'll be doing something similar. I know - geeky, but it's all in the spirit of fun! :)

thomaster (thomaster):

We don't celebrate halloween in the Netherlands :P

OpenStudy (compassionate):

No candy for you.

thomaster (thomaster):

No dentist bill for me :)

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Your tummy will not be satisfied.

thomaster (thomaster):

We have enough other holidays :P

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Yeah, like what? Saint Nicholas' Eve? Lol.

thomaster (thomaster):

I guess, if you'd call it like that in english :P

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Pakjesavond, Sinterklaasavond -_-

OpenStudy (compassionate):

I wonder how much candy you guys get on Pinksteren. Haha. Just jelly because you get no candy.

thomaster (thomaster):

tbh, I don't really care about candy. And pinksteren = pentecost. Sinterklaas is the dutch equivalent to santa clause. Since we don't give eachother presents on christmas, they made another holiday for that :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@thomaster that's actually so interesting! it's so cool to hear about how people celebrate in different ways in different places :P

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

thomaster wins! lol but that really is interesting! yet another thing I love about OS; its global, and there are so many cultures represented here :) and I, too, don't like candy that much except for.....wait for it......almost there...... MOCHI!!!!! lol I consider it a candy if its filled with sweet beans, and my grandma makes the best mochi <3

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

and yes, I am part Japanese.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, I love that global aspect of OS. It's so cool to get to interact with people you would usually never meet! (mochi sounds interesting ... i think I had it once, but I don't really know that much about it. I'm kind of a traditional Halloween-type candy gal ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
