If you choose an answer to this question at random, what is the chance you will be correct? ^^^Help I'm lost I thought it would be 25 but nahh my instructor said no -_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it would be 50%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

50%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your either 50% right or 50% wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Btw, thats a UNREALISTIC question. Lol. Just pointing it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But the answer doesn't really exist according to the instructor it can't be 50 since their are fours anwers. @rbeckford134 welcome to the world of stats.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The chance is 1 out of 4. We don’t know the question so we don’t know the answer. Any of them could be correct, so like any other question with 4 answers, we have a 1 in 4 chance of picking the right answer, Thats why I thought it was 25%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hahaa. You have 4 options. 25% would obviously be the answer ... but since its there twice .... the chance of actually getting the correction answer of 25% is 50%. BUT! 50% is now the correct answer .... and is only there once ... it will go back to 25%. Unfortunately .... your chances of landing the correct answer is 1 out of 4 chances. Leaving your answer to be 50% right or 50% wrong ! Ithink this is a brain teaser question!!! haha.

Thanks It makes sense two 25 make a 50 then it would have to be it. thanks you were pretty helpful!
