Geometry: Finding angle measures?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the value of x. Then find the measure of each labeled angle. |dw:1381801362733:dw|

I don't understand how to solve this :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angles should add up to 360 as it's a quadrilateral

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I was trying to do it with 180 :/ So the equation should look like (x-50)+90+x=360?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the x and the x-50 should add up to 180, since they're supplementary from each other so, x+x-50=180 2x-50=180 2x=230 x=130 x-50 130-50 80 the 2 angles on the left is 130 and 80 with the angle of 130 at the top and the 80 at the bottom

Ok, that makes a lot more sense. Thank you :)

you're welcome
