I need help with faults? describe the following about the fault you select: What type of fault it is A description of how rock bodies are moving at the fault plane The tectonic setting most likely associated with your fault (convergent, divergent, transform) The type of stress rocks at a fault are under (tensional, compressional, etc.) Any major populated areas near your fault and whether or not earthquakes are likely to occur at the fault Faults to choose from: Wasatch Fault (Utah, U.S.A.) Alpine Fault (New Zealand) Keystone Fault (Nevada, U.S.A.)

Earth science and me do not mix well :) I like the living kind of biology. THe little I do know about faults is that they occur where moving tectonic plates interact. From what I see, the alpine fault seems to be a transform fault. This wikipedia article gives a lot of good information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpine_Fault Sorry couldn't be more of a help!

haha, thats ok :P

I got this exact same enlightenment, but i chose the Wasatch fault. Im having trouble with research on that as well :C
