Can someone please help me solve through this problem? Two people, 30ft apart are observing a kite flown by a third person between them. If the angles of elevation from the observers to the kite are 62 degrees, and 78 degrees, what is the height of the kite at that moment? Assume the 3 people are standing on level ground in a straight line.

I know that we're dealing with a triangle if we draw it out. I want to say that we want to use Law of Sine, but I'm not sure.

this is what I'd do |dw:1381864175932:dw| use angle sum of a triangle to find the angle at the top. use the law of sines to find x draw a perpendicular to the kite...the height then find the height with sin62 = h/x hope this helps

It definitely does. Thank you for the illustration too! ^_^
