Mary's test grades were 78, 0, 85, 84, 84, and 88. Mary made up the missing test which changed her second test score from 0 to a 93. Which measure(s) of central tendency are affected by this change? mean median mode mean and median

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's mean and median. The mean is the sum of the numbers and the median is the middle test score so those two would change. The mode wouldn't change because it is the numbers which occur most frequently which is 84 so the score of 93 wouldn't change that.

Thank you do you think you could help me out with a couple more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can try. :) Math isn't my best subject though so I don't know how good I'll do. :p

Coach Ralph wants to compare the number of practice hours logged by members of his team for the month with the number of practice hours logged by the members of the league champion team for the month. He creates box-and-whisker plots of the number of hours each member on his team practiced this month versus the number of hours each member of league champion team practiced for the month. Which statement makes sense based on the plots? Since the maximums are the same, Ralph's team members practice at least as many hours as the league champions. There are 16 players on Ralph's team. Half of the league champions practice less than everyone on Ralph's team. Ralph's team has hours that are more unpredictable than the overall league.

There thats what you should look at and ill give you graph if you wanna help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll try. Can you post the graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@HaleyT I posted it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lizzylou169 I typed you name with an @ sign and i think that helps you find it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is either A or C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hero Can you come here to check this out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know which one it is because I do not/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@HaleyT how about this Using a line of best fit, which value would most likely be predicted for an x-value of 0? Points plotted on a coordinate plane with a downward trend. 8 10 12 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@samigupta8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the latest one i put here

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

answer is mean and median

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

The average or mean is clearly increased.   0   78   84     median = 84   84   85   88 78      84      84        median = 84.5      85      88      93

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it might be 12, but I'm not positive.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what I was thinking I was talking about it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just ignore wat i just said

OpenStudy (anonymous):
