OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got this from wiki maybe it can help Are you referring to osmotic pressure within the cell and the solution? If the concentration of sugar in the cell is less than the concentration of the sugar solution (hypotonic solution) then the sugar molecules will move out of the animal into the solution (molecules always move from less concentration to higher concentration), and water molecules will move into the cell and the cell will swell or burst (cytolysis). If the concentration of sugar in solution is higher than the sugar concentration of the cell (Hypertonic solution) then the cell will become distorted and wrinkled.
