I Do Not Get It: Reya and Ian are both concerned about class size. Reya stated that she would like to attend a small school with fewer than 1,000 students in her freshman class, while Ian stated that he would like to attend a larger school. Look at the table below:

This is the question: a) Using g(x), d(x) and h(x), write a function to represent the class size data for each school.
This is what I put: I am going to use g(x) for Gore College, d(x) for Douglas University, and h(x) for Hughes University. Gore College: g(x) = 45x + 720 How did I find out the slope? I basically subtracted all the numbers given. I subtracted 720 by 675 and got 45, and to check I subtracted 675 by 630 and got 45 again. So I know that the slope is positive and it is 45. Douglas University d(x) = 60x + 750 How did I find out the slope? I did the same thing I did for Gore College. Hughes University: h(x) = 80x + 760 How did I find out the slope? I did the same thing I did for Gore College and Douglas University.
Am I right?

Did I get it right?

is that a typo there ? it shud be 600 right ?
cuz, 680 - 630 = 50 slope is not matching.
Now, it is all 630.
OMG, I see it too. It is not a correct slope. I didnt check.
It is 600. Oh, my god, I got scared.
cool :) then all ur equations are correct !
Oh, okay, and since years is the x-intercept, 2 years ago would be -2, and a year ago would be -1, because that is what I am unsure about @ganeshie8
yup ! time starts NOW (x=0)
Oh, okay. Good. Phew!
x = 1, means, 1 year from now. x = -1, means 1 year previous from now
yeah time can be negative, relatively.. (with reference to NOW)
Okay, thanks.
np :)
