Explain how to find the sum negative sixty-five plus positive forty-one using a number line, then give the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

assuming the standard number line with left negative and right positive, start at 0, count left 65 marks to -65, then count right 41 marks, to find -65 + 41. It's easier to understand if you do a modified number line, with up as positive and down as negative.
