12.) The table below shows pork production in China from 2000 to 2007. Use a calculator to find the line of best fit. b. Use your linear model to predict how many metric tons of pork will be produced in 2025. c. Use your linear model to predict when production is likely to reach 100,000 metric tons. [Year: 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 Production(metric tons): 40,475, 42,010, 43,413, 45,331, 47,177, 50,254, 52,407, 54,491.]
The Mathematica solution attached should get you started
what do i do with all of that?

Out[4] is the equation of the line using a least squares fit from you data points. Plug in a date, x, into the line equation and the value is the projected pork production. The x axis, the horizontal one, is the year date dates. The plot shows your points and the corresponding pork projection. I plugged in 2025 for x in the equation and got 91099.3 metric tons. (not shown on the attachment) -4.06657*10^6+2053.17 x = 100000 The solution to the above is the year 2029.34 . There, all of the questions posted in your problem have been answered. If you still have questions, print out the attachment and show it to some fellow students if you are a student.
it seems like it's not enough to write down. I need to show a lot of work.
